Shipping policy

Where we ship. United States only, including Alaska and Hawaii. We do not currently ship internationally. Thermal, optical and measurement products are United States only with no freight forwarders, for the export-control reasons in our Terms of Service.

Who ships your order. Most of what we sell is shipped directly by our partner suppliers through Shopify Collective, not from a Barely Normal warehouse. Printed apparel is made to order. Because of that, an order with several items can arrive in more than one package, each with its own tracking.

Processing. Each supplier sets its own handling time, and it varies by product. The delivery estimate for your address is shown at checkout before you pay. Made-to-order apparel is printed after you order it: allow two to five business days for production before shipping begins, then add transit time.

Transit and tracking. Delivery estimates come from the carrier options shown at checkout. Tracking is emailed as soon as each package ships. If something will take longer than the estimate we email you rather than let you wonder.

Costs. Shipping is calculated at checkout from your address and the rates offered for the items in your order. You always see the shipping cost before you pay.

Addresses. Check yours before ordering. We can change an address only before a label is created. We cannot reroute a parcel once it is moving, and a package returned as undeliverable is refunded minus the original shipping. Larger items need a street address rather than a PO box.

What we never ship. Loose lithium cells and battery packs. Some electronic tools, such as rechargeable meters, contain a small built-in battery and ship as ordinary equipment with the battery installed. See our Terms of Service.
